Oh. My. Word. We are in town for a high school function for our son. 8 of us came in at 3 for a late lunch having just traveled and this was the closest food to our hotel. We weren't expecting much. The place was empty and the person behind the counter could have given us a lot of attitude for bombarding him but he took it in stride and took our orders. He made sure the orders came out at the same time so that we could eat as a community. And THE GYRO WAS THE BEST IVE EVER HAD. I am not kidding. It. Was. So. Good! I am actually sad I will more than likely not have the opportunity to eat there again. Highly recommended. Get the gyro. You'll thank me.

My group of four walked into the small shopfront , not knowing what to expect. It really had to feel of the old-fashioned deli. The food was excellent. We had a vegetarian platter, a gyro, pastrami, sub, and a tuna, fish salad, sub. Well flavored and enjoyable.
We were in downtown Orlando for a concert and needed something to eat before the show. We had set our mind an a hamburger so as we were walking that way we passed by the New York Deli, stopped looked at the menu and decided to give it a try. Has we walked in we were greeted by 2 gentlemen I believe one may have been the owner, both extremely friendly. We were offered samples on an of their fresh soup, and asked if we had any questions. I ended up with the turkey club and my wife had the pastrami on rye. Both sandwiches were fresh and tasted great along with a very generous amounts of meat. We opted for takeout but the place looked clean and nice for sit down also. As we received our food and were headed out, they closed the shop for the night, I looked at my watch and noticed we got there at closing time. Not once did we feel rushed or hurried. I have had family in the restaurant business and realize they will have to re-clean their countertops and such. Highly recommend this place for their service and food!
This place is good! If you want a quick bite please stop here. I got the spicy gyro and it was absolutely delicious. Half way through I almost walked back and got another. Spot reminds me of an NY Deli and its family run so you know it's all made with love. Enjoy!
You wouldn't expect such great food from a quaint restaurant in the middle of Orlando. Inside it's quirky and cute. There's lots of food options and desserts in the display case. The server was helpful in helping us order. We got gyro platters with soo much food. All of the flavors were so good. There's a reason they had posters of Shaq at their restaurant because the food is exceptional!
I had lunch at the New York Deli on 12/6 and had never eaten here before! What a fantastic place with amazing food. I had the Italian sub with chips and drink. The sandwich was delicious with fresh ingredients and the bread was phenomenal. The owner says they have been there for 47 years! Wow, I've definitely been missing out! I'll be back again soon!
The beef gyro...the ambiance of a real New York deli. The family owned business. You better try the dad's Tzatziki! He will make sure you do. I've been to Greece and this is as authentic as you get in the states. Honest, good people who serve fantastic food. Their baklava is the best!
I recently tried this place today and it was surprisingly really good. I tried the veggie gyro and it was full of flavor. It's kind of like a salad mixed with pita bread and sauce . I thought it tasted pretty good and it had American cheese at the bottom which is a nice touch. I always pass by this place on my lunch breaks and thought I should check it out. The lady was really nice and the service was really good . It's a nice place to grab lunch .
